Many organizations and businesses assume that their IT system and network are safe and secure, and later will they realize that there are loopholes when troubles arise. The only way to know is to do a regular extensive cyber audit. Your employees can check the system based on your IT system’s protocols as it is their responsibility, but it can be very difficult to have a security baseline if proper cyber audit isn’t carried out.
Cyber audits should be done routinely. Depending on the needs of your IT system and network, as well as your budget, it could be done monthly, quarterly, or twice a year. Experts say it is best to have the audits done at least two times every year. Whenever there is a security breach, audits must be performed right away. Additionally, should there be new installations, upgrades, or any changes in the regulations, special audits must be done in addition to the routine audits.
